Preservation Sacramento's 50th Annual Historic Home Tour is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026, and tickets are available NOW! The 2026 Historic Home Tour will showcase six historic properties associated with Old & New Washington School Historic Districts. To help spread the word about the upcoming event, William Burg joined Jared in the print shop at the Sacramento History Museum and letterpress printed a large photo engraving, which was made in 1990 for an event in partnership with Sacramento Heritage Inc., a local nonprofit established to promote preservation of Sacramento’s historic properties.  The Hubbard-Upson House, also known as “The Castle,” in the Alkali Flat neighborhood in Downtown Sacramento was built 1856. While it originally was a family home, the building stands today as the location for quite a few law offices. This was printed with blue rubber base ink using our Washington hand press.
