DAY 1/10 🇬🇧🎓 MOVING TO THE UK IN SEPTEMBER? SAVE THIS.

After doing this series since 2021, I genuinely cannot believe this is YEAR SIX 😭

And if there’s one thing I wish I’d known before moving to the UK, it’s this:

YOU DO NOT NEED TO PACK YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. 😂

Here’s your quick packing checklist:
👜 HAND LUGGAGE / BACKPACK
• Passport
• Phone + charger
• Wallet/cards
• Medication/essentials
• CAS copy
• Important university/visa documents
• Any valuables
• Laptop/tablet
• Power bank: HAND LUGGAGE ONLY

🧳 SMALL SUITCASE
• Change of clothes
• Underwear
• Basic toiletries
• Anything you might need for the first 24 hours
• Essentials in case your checked luggage is delayed
❌ Don’t put big shampoo bottles, large creams, scissors etc. in here if you’re taking it into the cabin. Check your airline’s current cabin baggage/liquid rules.

🧳 BIG SUITCASE
• Clothes
• Shoes
• A few warm layers
• Things you genuinely need for university
• A small number of familiar/home comforts

❌ Don’t put power banks in your checked luggage.
And YES, bring a jumper. 

The UK will be colder than you’re expecting, but please don’t bring your entire winter wardrobe from home.
You can buy affordable winterwear here from places like Primark and Matalan, so leave yourself some luggage space!

And learn from my mistakes because I moved to the UK with 5 bags. 😭

3 big suitcases + 1 small suitcase + 1 backpack.
I packed everything from bowls and spoons to lentils, pens and notebooks.

I really thought I was relocating to Mars. 💀
