readwith3: If you missed church today, read the Bible with me.

Today’s word comes from Psalm 37:1-7:

Sometimes we look around and wonder why people who do wrong still seem to be winning. We see what they have, how they move, and we start asking God, “Why them?” But verse 1 reminds us not to stress over evildoers or envy what they have, because what looks good now will not last forever.

Verse 3 tells us what to do instead: trust in the Lord and do good. Not trust in God and then do whatever we want. Not compare ourselves to everybody else. Trust God’s plan, because we may think we know what’s best, but God sees what we cannot see.

Verse 4 says to delight yourself in the Lord. That means learning to be happy with God, not just happy with what He gives. When we grow closer to Him, our desires start lining up with His will.

So when people see you going through something, or even try to place obstacles in your way, keep showing up. Keep smiling. Keep trusting. What God has for you is for you, and they don’t even know what you had to survive to get here.

Verse 5 says to commit your way to the Lord. In everything you do, do it for God’s glory, not just for yourself. And verse 7 tells us to be still before the Lord. Sometimes you have to get quiet, pray, and wait for a word from Him.

God has already given you what you need to keep going. So fret not. The grass on the other side may look greener, but God is still making a way on your side.
