The Brooklyn Center Super 8 raided this week as part of a large-scale investigation is also at the center of a federal lawsuit involving allegations that date back more than a decade.

A woman says she was sex trafficked at the hotel in 2013 when she was 15 years old and alleges hotel staff failed to act on warning signs. She is suing the hotel’s previous owners and operators and the franchise for damages. The previous operators deny knowing about or profiting from the trafficking.
