PMDD DIARY — DAY 3

Six PT clients and 90 incredible women through my Bootcamps today.

This is me right now.

Happy. Motivated. Full of energy. Training, working and moving at about 400 miles an hour. Basically… I feel like me.

Normally, when I feel this good, I don’t think about my PMDD. Then the difficult weeks arrive and THAT’S when I desperately start searching for something that might help.

This month, I’m doing things differently.

I’m starting now—before my PMDD arrives.

One thing I’m paying much more attention to is my nutrition. Not dieting harder, cutting out carbs or attempting some ridiculous PMDD detox—and definitely not pretending food can cure PMDD.

I’m simply returning to the basics I teach other people: regular balanced meals, enough protein, fruit and vegetables, carbohydrates, healthy fats—and actually eating properly instead of getting so busy that I realise at 3pm I’ve survived on coffee.

I’ve been a nutrition coach for years, but knowing what to do and consistently doing it for yourself are two very different things.

So, this month, I’m following my own TerriAnn 123 recipes and plans too. Not because my app is a treatment for PMDD—it isn’t—but because structure helps me when my brain becomes overwhelmed.

If my meals are already planned, that’s one less decision to make. Hopefully, when the difficult part of my cycle arrives, Future Terri-Ann will be grateful that Current Terri-Ann got organised.

I’ll be tracking my food alongside my symptoms to see whether I notice any patterns.

Maybe I will. Maybe I won’t. That’s the whole point of this little experiment.

I’m not trying to create a perfect month.

I’m trying to understand MY month.

Day 3 of figuring out my PMDD instead of simply dreading it. #pmdd #pmddawareness #ADHDWomen #personaltrainer #pmddsupport
