🔎 Today’s Daily Sift: Crypto/Blockchain

Crypto is becoming financial infrastructure.

And today the infrastructure is being tested.

Bitcoin is trading around $79,000 after US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted approximately $987 million last week.

But Ethereum, Solana, XRP and Hyperliquid fund inflows fell sharply.

The institutional bid is still there.

It is becoming selective.

Meanwhile, global stablecoin supply has reached roughly $291.5 billion.

USDT and USDC control about 88.5 percent of it.

Digital dollars are quietly becoming blockchain infrastructure.

Then India moved another piece of traditional finance onchain.

REC raised ₹500 crore through what is being reported as the country’s first tokenized corporate bond issuance, using blockchain based settlement infrastructure.

That is the future arriving without a token launch.

But crypto also delivered a warning.

Liquid Network paused after roughly 4,000 BTC worth about $320 million was withdrawn from its federation wallet.

The actors claim to be white hats.

That has not been independently confirmed.

Bitcoin itself was not hacked.

The surrounding infrastructure failed.

Forward Hypothesis

Crypto is separating into layers.

Bitcoin as macro collateral.

Stablecoins as money rails.

Blockchains as settlement infrastructure.

Everything else competing for relevance.

Institutional adoption will not lift every boat.

It will expose which boats actually float.
