2,753 empty chairs fill Bryant Park today in a powerful tribute marking 25 years since September 11, 2001. Each empty chair represents one of the 2,753 people who lost their lives at the World Trade Center on 9/11, with the chairs facing south toward the former World Trade Center site. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, September 11, visitors are invited to walk through the Chairs of Remembrance installation, write a message of remembrance, and place a white carnation on one of the empty chairs. For the first 3,000 carnations placed, Bank of America will donate $25 per flower—up to $75,000 total—to organizations supporting first responders and their families. Later tonight at 7 p.m., Bryant Park will continue the commemoration with a free memorial concert by the American Symphony Orchestra on the lawn. 25 years later, New York remembers. #nyc #911memorial #september11 #neverforget #neverforgotten 📍 Bryant Park, Manhattan 🗓️ September 11, 2026 🎗️ Chairs of Remembrance: 8am-4pm 🎶 Free memorial concert: 7pm 🎥: @trashboytoni
