Alameda dancer featured in Disney’s live-action Moana 🎥

Alameda resident and @halaumakana Director Jade-Len Makana Kaʻanoaliʻi Taimalietane Iulio has been selected for the principal dance cast of Disney’s live-action Moana. Chosen as one of just 23 dancers from thousands of auditions and the only performer selected from the Bay Area, her achievement shines a spotlight on Alameda’s Polynesian community and the generations of cultural tradition she continues to share through hula, education, and community service. 

Celebrate @jadeiulio on July 10 at 7:20 PM at the Alameda Theatre as the community comes together for a special Moana premiere celebration! Congratulations, Makana! 🙌
