If there is anyone that recognizes the power of storytelling, it’s her: this week's Renegade is #ThePitt executive producer and writer Simran Baidwan! 🏆 Our Renegades editorial series spotlights Asian Pacific luminaries that defy stereotypes and pave their own way forward.

Born to East Indian immigrants in the San Francisco Bay Area, she led a successful career as a deputy district attorney and found her way to Hollywood. From writing on hit shows like Netflix’s #Manifest and ABC’s #TheGoodDoctor, to serving as showrunner on Amazon’s #CleanSlate, she’s paved the way for others to have their voices heard. Now, as executive producer and writer for The Pitt, Simran has her eyes on the 2026 Emmys, returning to this awards season as the first South Asian woman to win an Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series.

Read our full interview with Simran at the link in bio or at goldhouse.org/renegades!
