## Caption

Birthright citizenship is central to who we are as a nation. It reflects that all children born in this country belong here, no matter who their parents may be.

President Trump's efforts to end birthright citizenship are part of a broader effort to redefine who belongs in our country — we refuse to let that happen.

On April 1, the ACLU and partners were at the highest court in the land fighting for this right. The court is expected to issue a ruling on the case in June.
