## Caption

The Lancers played their first home game on Lancer Day against their rivals, the Rockhurst Hawlets. The theme of the game was blue-out and the pep club encouraged Lancers to wear jerseys the student store made specifically for Lancer Day. 

The game started off with Rockhurst  winning the coin toss. About halfway through the first quarter, the Hawklets scored the first touchdown of the game, followed by a completed extra point. The score remained 7-0 for the rest of the quarter. The 2nd quarter started with Rockhurst in possession, but they quickly fumbled the ball and the Lancers recovered it. Despite the recovery, the Lancers failed to score and Rockhurst regained possession and scored another touchdown at halftime, making the score 14-0. 

Rockhurst kept the Lancers from scoring in the 2nd half and scored two more touchdowns and field goals, resulting in a final score of 34-0. Rockhurst now have a 2-1 record and the Lancers have a record of 1-1.
