@hofstra_wlax just named its first-ever number 27 recipient, Christine Dannenfelser, in September 2026. 

She is a three-year captain and will wear 27 for the 2026-2027 season. 

#27 has now expanded from a men’s lacrosse tradition into a Hofstra lacrosse-wide legacy.

Every year, the coaching staff selects a Hofstra player who best represents the qualities Nick Collelouri displayed:
    •    Selflessness
    •    Team spirit
    •    Relentlessness
    •    Mental and physical toughness
    •    Leadership
    •    Putting the team and others ahead of herself

That player is given the honor of wearing Nick’s #27 for the entire season. 

Congratulations Christine. Well deserved.
