Before he became the Chief of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, Robert Tracy was a 22-year-old NYPD officer in the Bronx.

In 1986, Dolly Parton came to Yankee Stadium to film one of her shows. When she saw the young officer in uniform, she walked over and told him, “I gotta hug a police officer.”

Chief Tracy says she gave him the best hug he ever got.

No cell phones. No cameras. No proof.
