The internet really knows how to turn a contrast into a meme.

This photo shows Sam Altman alongside a Koenigsegg Regera — one of the most exclusive and technologically advanced hypercars ever built — while the caption jokes about him being the CEO of a “non-profit.”

But there’s an important detail behind the joke. 👀

OpenAI was originally founded in 2015 as a nonprofit organization with the mission of ensuring artificial general intelligence would benefit humanity. Later, OpenAI created a for-profit subsidiary and developed a more complex corporate structure to raise the enormous amounts of capital needed to build advanced AI systems.

And then there’s the car. 🏎️

The Koenigsegg Regera isn’t your average supercar. It uses a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 combined with three electric motors, producing roughly 1,500 horsepower. Instead of a conventional multi-speed gearbox, Koenigsegg developed its unique Direct Drive system, allowing the car to deliver its enormous power in a very different way from traditional hypercars.

So the meme basically combines two completely different worlds:

🤖 AI + billion-dollar technology companies
🏎️ Ultra-exclusive Swedish hypercars
💰 Extreme wealth + extreme engineering

Of course, being associated with a hypercar doesn’t automatically mean someone personally owns it — but the visual contrast is exactly what makes the meme work.

From “non-profit CEO” to a Regera… the internet was never going to let this one slide. 😂
