A screening and conversation with acclaimed filmmaker Sam Pollard

The Lorraine tells the long-overlooked story of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis — a Black-owned haven from Jim Crow for Green Book travelers and Stax Records legends, and later the site of Dr. King's assassination.

Following the screening, Pollard joins Marjuan Canady for a conversation connecting that legacy to our theme: 250 Years of Democracy: The Unfinished Story. Opening remarks from MD Delegate Jheanelle Wilkins.
