If you’re planning a trip through Switzerland, add **1–2 nights in Thun** to your itinerary.⁠

We made Thun our first stop to recover from jet lag, slow down, and ease into our Switzerland trip. We stayed at **Deltapark Vitalresort**, a beautiful wellness resort right on Lake Thun that’s especially perfect for couples, friends, or a ladies’ trip.⁠

Here’s how I’d spend 1–2 days:⁠
⁠
**DAY 1 🧖‍♀️**⁠
📍 Check in and enjoy a slow afternoon at the spa and wellness area⁠
📍 Relax by Lake Thun and soak in those mountain views⁠
📍 Make a reservation at the hotel’s Thai restaurant — SO good!⁠
📍 Early night and recover from jet lag 🙌⁠

**DAY 2 🏰**⁠
📍 Take the quick bus into Thun⁠
📍 Wander the charming Old Town and cross over the river⁠
📍 Watch the river surfers — yes, that’s a thing here!⁠
📍 Walk up to Thun Castle for incredible views over the city and lake⁠
📍 Spend a little more time along Lake Thun before continuing your Swiss adventure⁠

Bonus: You can take the Golden Pass Famous Scenic train from Spiez, which is a quick hop from Thun! ⁠

Thun is such an easy **1–2 night addition** before or after Switzerland’s bigger stops, and it was the perfect way to start our trip.⁠
