Meet Wilfredo León 🇵🇷

One of the Upstate's earliest prominent Latino businessmen, Wilfredo moved to Greenville from Puerto Rico in the 1980s and built his career around service to his community. In 1988 he founded the Foothills Minority Supplier Development Council, and later launched South Carolina's first Spanish language newspaper.

He was named among Greenville Business Magazine's 50 Most Influential in 2020. Fun fact: you'll often find him and his wife hopping between Papa's n Beer and Las Delicias in Mauldin.

Wilfredo, uno de los primeros empresarios latinos destacados de la región de Upstate, se mudó a Greenville desde Puerto Rico en la década de 1980 y construyó su carrera en torno al servicio a su comunidad. En 1988 fundó el Foothills Minority Supplier Development Council y, más tarde, lanzó el primer periódico en español de Carolina del Sur.

Fue nombrado entre los 50 más influyentes de Greenville Business Magazine en 2020. Dato curioso: es común verlo a él y a su esposa yendo de Papa's n Beer a Las Delicias en Mauldin.
