A tragic workplace accident in Ottawa’s south end has claimed the life of a 23-year-old man 😢💔🕊️

Emergency crews responded to the 4000 block of Barnsdale Road around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday after reports of a serious workplace incident. Police say the man became trapped underneath heavy equipment, while paramedics said the call involved a bin on a truck.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Ottawa Police say the incident is not believed to be suspicious, and Ontario’s Ministry of Labour is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
