## Caption

One of the biggest returnees for the Florida State Seminoles in the 2026 season was Mandrell and Darryll Desir, but they have only combined to have 5 tackles on the year.

The defensive line as a whole has only generated 2 sacks and 3 tackles for loss through two games. They got pressure on SMU quarterback Kevin Jennings, but the defensive backfield let the unit down with the chunk yardage gains. The reality of the situation is that it has to get better in a hurry with the Seminoles traveling to Tuscaloosa next weekend.

I don’t buy the regression from the Desir Twins and think they will get better as the year progresses. I get that college athletes are scrutinized even harsher with getting more opportunities for financial resources.
