Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage shown in its aftermath.

Canine Companions future #servicedog puppy Guinness, who's being raised by Bob and Jill McElhenney, recently visited the
National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York City for a meaningful lesson in remembrance, resilience and hope. They were joined by Charles Wolf, whose wife, Katherine, was killed while working on the 97th floor of the North Tower.

Following her death, Charles became a leading advocate for improvements to the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund. His story was portrayed by Stanley Tucci in the Netflix film "Worth." Welsh journalist Maxine Hughes also joined the visit.

Through its powerful collection of artifacts, personal accounts and educational resources, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum ensures that the stories of those affected by September 11 continue to be remembered and shared with future generations. We're grateful to Charles for sharing Katherine’s story and helping make this visit so deeply personal.

We'll always remember and honor the individuals whose lives were taken away 25 years ago on September 11.

Thank you to our volunteer puppy raisers, Bob and Jill McElhenney, for taking such wonderful care of Guinness and sharing this important day with him. 🫶
