This hit…When I did Dancing with the Stars, I had only 3½ days to learn my first dance and prepare for the first live show. Everyone else had an entire month.

After 3 days of learning to cha cha in prosthetic legs AND heels, was I ready to dance in front of millions of people and be judged?

No!!😂

But I made the choice to step onto that dance floor anyway. And by doing that, I learned just how capable I really was.

Whether it was DWTS, the Paralympics, or stepping onto a stage to speak, I’ve learned the same thing over and over:

If you wait to feel ready, you never will.

Because, ready isn’t a feeling. It’s a choice.

You choose to step forward, and you figure it out as the path unfolds.

Sometimes making the decision to move before you feel ready is exactly what moves you forward.
