When Lexus engineered the legendary LFA and its naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V10, the engine could rev from idle to its 9,000 RPM redline in a mind-boggling 0.6 seconds.

Because traditional mechanical tachometer needles were literally too slow to accurately keep pace with the rapid acceleration, Lexus teamed up with Polyphony Digital—the famous developers behind Gran Turismo—to design a high-tech digital TFT gauge cluster.

Paired with an exhaust note acoustic-tuned by Yamaha’s music division, the LFA remains one of the greatest engineering masterpieces in automotive history.
