🔥🥟 NEW SZECHUAN RESTAURANT IN DOWNTOWN HOUSTON 🔥🥟 bashihtx is now open in understoryhtx. Named after the Szechuanese word for “awesome,” Bashi is all about being happy in your comfort zone. 🥢

I tried the Chili Oil Wontons and Dan Dan Noodles, and brought the Honey Braised Pork Belly back to my husband. SO GOOD OMG. Most of these Chinese dishes can be made vegan too! I’m already plotting my return to try the Mao Pao Tofu, Yuxiang Eggplant and Garlic & Yacai Green Beans 🌱

I’ve been following the owner Milo’s journey for years. He started cooking for friends during the panorama and evolved to farmers markets and now has a full-on restaurant in one of Houston’s coolest food halls, Understory! With 7 restaurants, a bar, and a coffee shop, it’s a spot worth checking out during your next visit to Downtown!
