More from Iceland’s South Coast -the wind at Dyrhólaey nearly swept us off our feet as we stood before the sea arch and its elephant shaped cousin, a stretch of coastline famous enough to double as Eastwatch by the Sea in Game of Thrones. Rain drifted in soft and steady, dressing the lupine fields in silver and turning the whole day a little dreamlike. It led us to Gígjagjá, better known as the Yoda Cave, where two openings align just right to frame the unmistakable silhouette of a certain small green Jedi. We ended the day beside a lonely Viking boat resting in the hills, my son and I, soaked from the rain and grinning, feeling for a moment like we’d stumbled straight into another time.
