KD never lied tho! 😭🤷🏾‍♂️ (SWIPE)

In 2017, Kevin Durant accidentally gave NBA Twitter one of its funniest moments 😭 KD responded to a fan criticizing his decision to leave OKC, but the way he wrote the replies made it look like they were supposed to come from a burner account. He referred to himself in the third person, saying, “KD can’t win a championship with those cats,” and claimed the Thunder roster “wasn’t that good, it was just him and Russ.” 💀

That mistake basically helped create the entire “KD burner account” legend 😂 But the funniest part is that it was completely on brand for Durant. KD has never been afraid to argue basketball with random fans online, defend himself, or say exactly what’s on his mind. Even years later, you’ll still catch him in replies debating people like he isn’t one of the greatest players ever.

And looking back at those OKC teams, KD clearly felt like he and Russell Westbrook were carrying a much bigger load than people acknowledged. Whether you agree with what he said or not, accidentally tweeting it from the main account instead of the supposed burner made this an ALL-TIME NBA social media moment 😭😭 KD really been fighting NBA Twitter his entire career. 💀🐐
