It’s been 14 years since Lee Pace was first introduced to the world as Thranduil the Elvenking, in Peter Jackson’s screen adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s ‘The Hobbit.’ In the next year, he will appear in the next installment of ‘The Lord Of The Rings’ universe: ‘The Hunt for Gollum.’ 

On the cast he’s grown with from the first installment, Pace shares: “This little group of people who made it—I mean, it’s a big little group of people…they created a cinematic vocabulary for the first time. There are ways that Peter Jackson filmed and staged the epicness of [The Lord of the Rings] that had never really been done before. It didn’t just happen. They made it happen.”
