China has called on all parties involved in rising tensions in Yemen and the Red Sea to exercise restraint and resolve disputes through political and diplomatic means.⁣

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said Monday that recent violence had caused civilian casualties and damage to energy and other facilities linked to people’s livelihoods.⁣
⁣
Guo’s comments came after Houthi forces in Yemen reportedly attacked civilian and energy facilities in four cities in southern Saudi Arabia, injuring 73 civilians, including women and children.⁣
⁣
The Houthis have also said they came under attack, resulting in casualties.⁣
⁣
China urged the relevant parties to ease tensions through communication and dialogue and help bring the situation under control as soon as possible.⁣
