There has been speculation that the deal struck by the UK and France to allow the Bayeux Tapestry to be loaned to the British Museum could lead to a similar arrangement between the UK and Greece over the disputed Parthenon Marbles. The British Museum's Sue Brunning British Museum told CGTN "the museum has a very long history and a very active programme of loaning its objects to other places and we're always happy to talk about loans and sharing our treasures around the world."⁣
