In November 2021 I got wind that scott_bayvaria and thatcapekid were going to be passing through Salt Lake late around midnight, on a non-stop-as-possible drive to the East Coast, soon to start a fully non-stop trip back West - a cannonball run, but deemed Musketball by organizers because all cars participating during this run were meant to be sub 100hp cars. (So being the beast that the E28 528e is at a dyno’d 124hp, they had to add 250lbs to their payload, not included the extra gas tank haha)

Scott tells me 37:25 was their total time from CT to Los Angeles, slowed at one point in Iowa due to getting hit by a drunk driver and some oil consumption.

During their 30 some minute stop in SLC, we grabbed pizza, they checked over the E28, Scott prepped the passengers seat for sleeping, and I hurriedly snapped some film photos (using a flash for the fist time on the M6 (Jesse’s 964 happened after this)) and a few extras on my point and shoot. The small second snippet of video represents the hurried hubub of me trying to get a bunch of shots off before they left.

When a friend passes through town, you make time, and you take photos to remember it by!
