Movement, wellness, fun and fellowship took centre stage at Emancipation Park today! 💪🏾🌿❤️

Senior citizens turned out in numbers for the Park Walker and Ageing Fair, making the most of a day designed to promote healthy ageing, physical activity, social connection and overall well-being.

The day got moving with the 1K walk, followed by an array of activities that kept participants engaged — from hula hoop and hopscotch to board games and obstacle courses. There was something for everyone, with plenty of laughter, friendly competition and opportunities to connect.

Minister of Health and Wellness Dr Christopher Tufton was also on location, engaging with senior citizens and reinforcing the importance of staying active and making healthy lifestyle choices at every stage of life.

Beyond the physical activities, attendees had access to nutritional talks and information focused on ageing, wellness and healthy living. Sponsor booths added to the experience, serving up food, sharing health and wellness advice, and handing out special gifts and trinkets to participants.

From the first steps of the morning walk to the final games and conversations, today was a celebration of staying active, informed, connected and engaged — at every age. 👏🏾🚶🏾‍♀️🎉
