A picture of a dream that time never allowed—but a legacy made possible. 🇵🇷❤️

Imagine a young Francisco Lindor sitting beside his childhood hero, Roberto Clemente. Maybe Roberto would place a bat in his hands and tell him that becoming a great ballplayer is important—but becoming a great man matters even more.

Years later, Lindor has carried that message with him. From representing Puerto Rico with pride to supporting education, helping families and giving back to communities in need, Francisco continues to show that a player’s greatest impact isn’t measured only by home runs, awards or victories—it’s measured by the lives he touches.

Now, Lindor has been honored as the New York Mets’ nominee for the 2026 Roberto Clemente Award—one of baseball’s most meaningful honors. If Roberto could have met him today, you have to believe he would look at Francisco with the same proud smile captured in this picture and say, “Keep carrying it forward.”

Two Puerto Rican icons. Two generations. One shared belief that baseball is more than a game—it’s a platform to serve others. Roberto may have been Francisco’s hero, but through the example he sets today, Lindor is becoming that same hero for the next child watching. 🧡💙🇵🇷

Congratulations, Francisco! Roberto’s legacy lives on through you.
