Somers (somersfootball_) lands the top spot in the lohud Section 1 football rankings this week.

Harrison is right back in the top 10 and has an opportunity to leapfrog teams. Of course, that would require taking down Clarkstown South which took down defending Class A state champion Rye over the weekend and inched up in the rankings.

Somers is heading for Mahopac, which has created some drama in this game in previous years.

Mamaroneck took a step forward, too, after lighting up the scoreboard at John Jay-East Fishkill in a replay of last year's Section 1 Class AA finale.
