He was barely moving. The parking area was right there. And the front brake, applied with too much force and no progressive input, did what front brakes do when they are grabbed rather than squeezed — it transferred all available weight to the front wheel instantly, removed any remaining traction from the rear, and the rest happened before he had time to process it.

The speed was irrelevant. The technique was everything. Trail braking is one of the most critical skills in motorcycling not because of what it does at the limit but because of what it prevents at low speed when riders.
