Triumph Racing Moto2 Prototype.

Triumph has supplied the spec engine to the entire Moto2 class since 2019 - a 765cc inline-triple that every team on the grid runs in identical form, making chassis setup and rider skill the only variables that separate the front of the field from the back.

This prototype, built in partnership with the Invitas Triumph Racing team, represents something beyond the standard spec supply relationship — a fully constructed Moto2 machine wearing Triumph's own racing livery, Öhlins suspension, and Pirelli rubber. The word Prototype on the lower fairing is not modesty. It is the acknowledgement that what Triumph is building toward with this machine goes beyond engine supply.

Britain's most significant motorcycle manufacturer is making its intentions in grand prix racing very clear.

Is it time for Triumph to field a full factory Moto2 effort?
