Ducati has just unveiled the most extreme road legal motorcycle ever built — and it arrives in their centenary year for a reason.

The Superleggera V4 Centenario features a brand new Desmosedici Stradale R 1100 engine with hand-adjusted desmodromic valve timing producing 228 horsepower in road trim and 247 horsepower in full track configuration.  It is the world's first road homologated motorcycle to feature carbon ceramic brake discs and a front fork with carbon fibre blades derived directly from MotoGP — technology that has never before been approved for road use on any production motorcycle.  The full carbon chassis, subframes, swingarm, wheels, and fairing bring the dry weight to just 173kg — making it the lightest and most powerful Superleggera ever produced. Limited to 500 numbered units worldwide and priced at €150,000 — this is Ducati marking one hundred years of existence with the most uncompromising statement they have ever made.
