At Joffrey Ballet School, our Pre-Professional Trainee Program is built around developing the whole artist, bringing together rigorous training, creative exploration, and the physical preparation dancers need to support their growth.

Across both our Ballet and Jazz & Contemporary Trainee concentrations, students follow distinct paths while sharing an approach to training that encourages them to understand their bodies, challenge their capabilities, and become more thoughtful and informed dancers. Every part of their experience contributes to how they develop both in and beyond the studio.

Rooted in Joffrey Ballet School’s commitment to community, artistry, resilience, and excellence, our Trainees are given the space to discover who they are as dancers while building the tools to shape where their training can take them.
