💧 Okanagan Lake is at historically low levels. Why does this matter?

Okanagan Lake is more than a beautiful backdrop. It's our primary source of drinking water and supports local tourism, recreation, wildlife, businesses, and the lifestyle we all enjoy. 🌊

When lake levels drop too low, the impacts can be far-reaching: 
🐟 Fish habitat and spawning areas can be affected
 🌡️ Warmer water can increase the risk of algae blooms and bacteria growth
 🚤 Access to boat launches, docks and shorelines can become limited
 💧 Drinking water can become more challenging and costly to treat

These aren't just environmental concerns. They can affect our water supply, local economy, recreation opportunities, and quality of life.
