THE STEPS
1. Convert your background layer to a Smart Object, then open the Camera Raw filter
2. Open Masking, choose Select Objects, and brush loosely over each object or person
3. Add more objects to the same mask, or delete and reselect ones you don't need
4. Try Select Landscape as another way to isolate ground, sky, or vegetation
5. Adjust exposure, temperature, saturation, and contrast on just the masked selection
6. Subtract a linear gradient from the mask to keep the near ground darker
7. Use the Remove tool back in Photoshop, then reopen the same mask in Camera Raw to adjust it again non-destructively
