Two blue-tinted images of friend groups at UCSC behind text reading: “New Slugs, ep. 01 — a series for new UCSC students! Making friends at UC Santa Cruz. Slide 2:
“1. What to expect! UCSC is a 2,000-acre campus organized into 10 residential colleges — a unique system compared to most US universities. This presents many opportunities for building connections with tight-knit communities on a campus that can seem pretty unconventional and large.”
Polaroid-style photos of an aerial view of campus, and three students sitting on a bench overlooking the ocean, with a tree doodle and smiley face sticker. UCSC Undergraduate Admissions logo on bottom.

Slide 3:
“2. Move-in week missions! Everyone is in the same boat, trying to find connections during move-in week. Leave your door open (literally!) when you’re in and connect with others on your floor. Introduce yourself to as MANY fellow banana slugs as possible! Some will stick, some may not, and that’s totally okay. Explore and familiarize yourself with campus! You’re bound to run into other students doing the same thing :) There’s more!“
Photos of two roommates laughing in a dorm and students chatting outside a dining hall, with a handshake graphic and banana slug doodles wearing sunglasses. UCSC Undergraduate Admissions logo on bottom.

Slide 4:
“3. Cornucopia and clubs! Cornucopia is the largest gathering of new banana slugs each year. Discover ways to get involved, and start building your UCSC community. Sign up for something you’ve always wanted to try, or find others with similar passions as you. And show up afterward! Attend meetings the following week to turn a new club into your community.
