The past few days have been pretty full on, so on Day 4 we’re slowing the pace a bit, and finishing it off with a soak in a volcanic hot spring 🧖🏼‍♀️😌

Here’s how we suggest spending Day 4:

☕ Start your morning with brunch & coffee in Ponta Delgada – we had breakfast included at our hotel, but @jardim_naturalfood and @coffee.roasters.intz48 both seem like great options! 🍳🥑☕️
…then slowly make your way out east for a volcanic experience 🚗

🍲 First, stop by Furnas Lake
• Arrive before 11.30am to watch them dig the Cozido das Furnas up out of the volcanic ground!
• There’s an entrance fee of €3 per person to enter the Furnas Lake area
• This area is beautiful, so you can spend a bit of time walking around, admiring the volcanic fumes and the lake, before you drive back to Furnas Town

🍽️ In Furnas town, head to Tony’s Restaurant @restaurantetonys where you can try the Cozido das Furnas meal (make sure you book a table before you go)

♨️ After your meal, it’s time to soak up in some thermal hot springs at Parque Terra Nostra (@parqueterranostra)

Tips for the hot springs:
🧡 Bring a swimsuit you don’t mind potentially getting stained orange (the natural colours can unfortunately make this happen),
⏰ Double-check the opening hours on the day you’re thinking of going
… they closed early the day we went (we went off-season) and we missed it completely 😩
