“Brittany Snow and I both had the same reaction to the reaction of season 1,” showrunner rebecca_p_cutter tells EW. “I was like, ‘Oh! We were making camp. No one told us.’ So we kind of were the last to know, but not in a bad way. In retrospect, I’m like, ‘Oh yeah! Obviously.’”

Going into season 2, she wants to give the people more of what they want. “You can’t help think of: What are the Twitter moments? What are the memes? I hate to use the word ‘data’ because that sounds like I’m actually researching. No, my research is looking at Instagram and TikTok. So you’re trying to outdo that, but at the same time, you don’t want it to become a parody of itself. So I have to be careful not to be doing things just for the memes.”
