I travelled across the German 🇩🇪 and Swiss 🇨🇭 shores, discovering how wine changes around the lake — from Blauburgunder (Pinot Noir) in Swiss wine country to Müller-Thurgau and Spätburgunder on the German shore, alongside historic estates, family producers and vineyards overlooking the water.

Local food paired with local wines, centuries-old cellars, vineyard walks and conversations with the people behind the bottles made every stop reveal another side of the region.

But looking back, what made this journey so memorable wasn’t one winery, one wine or one view. It was how naturally everything came together. The lake became the thread connecting the wine, the people, the landscapes and the culture around it. ✨

And maybe that’s what makes Lake Constance so fascinating for a wine traveller. You’re not simply moving from one tasting to another. You’re discovering wine through the place it comes from.
