Rot Lop Fan comes from a starless, sunless region where life evolved blind—and his language has no concept of “green” or “lantern.” Instead of abandoning the recruitment, Katma Tui asked what sound felt restful. His answer: an F-sharp range.

From there, the Lantern oath was rebuilt around sound, the chest lantern became a bell, and Rot Lop Fan understood himself as part of the F-Sharp Bell Corps.

His willpower still shapes flight, force fields, energy blasts, and constructs—just through a language of sound rather than light.
