Trifon Ivanov: Wales vs Bulgaria -1994:
In the 5th minute of play, a set-piece delivered into the box by Krasimir Balakov was cleared out toward the 30-yard mark. Lurking outside the penalty area, Ivanov met the descending ball on the half-volley, hammering an unstoppable, swerving drive straight past Everton and Wales legend Neville Southall into the top corner. The early breakthrough set up a commanding 3–0 away victory that drove Bulgaria directly toward qualification for Euro 1996.

Just five months after powering Bulgaria 🇧🇬 to a historic semi-final run at USA '94, "The Wolf" Trifon Ivanov silenced Cardiff Arms Park with a long-range strike.
