EMMYS 2026: “The Pitt” Makes History, Apple TV Steals the Night

The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards delivered a night of records, upsets, and long-overdue wins — and the entertainment world is still talking about it.

🏆 Best Drama Series:”The Pitt” (HBO Max) repeated as champion, becoming back-to-back winners for its gripping, real-time look inside a Pittsburgh ER. Noah Wyle also repeated as Best Lead Actor in a Drama.

🏆 Best Comedy Series:”Widow’s Bay” made history, capping a night that saw the Apple TV freshman rack up 14 wins overall — a single-season comedy record.

🏆 Best Limited Series:”DTF St. Louis” took the crown, with a stacked cast including Jason Bateman, David Harbour, and Richard Jenkins.

📺 Apple TV had its biggest Emmy night ever, leading ALL networks and streamers with 28 total wins — officially outpacing HBO.
