CHS students, Principal Tom Coppola ‘01 and Director of Technology Eric Amodeo ‘94 attended the ribbon-cutting of the Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship’s new Buffalo campus on Wednesday morning. 

The event also marked the Golisano Institute’s first Speaking from Experience panel discussion, an event that featured Tom Golisano, Larry Quinn ‘70 and Dan DiPofi at the new campus at the downtown site at Washington and Scott Streets formerly occupied by The Buffalo News. 

The three shared a first-hand account of Golisano’s 2003 purchase of the Buffalo Sabres out of bankruptcy and what it took to rebuild the team. 

Golisano launched his business institute in fall 2023 in suburban Rochester as an alternative business school that offers a two-year professional certificate in business and entrepreneurship. 

The CHS students in attendance included those who are are taking a college-level Entrepreneurship course taught by principal Coppola.
