🚨Calling all Filmmakers
🏆$100,000 in possible prizes
📆deadline June 13, 2026
⚡️first 100 submissions guaranteed review

The Renaissance Rising Short Film Contest, presented by the Napa Institute, sponsored by EWTN, and chaired by David Henrie, is searching for the next generation of storytellers who can bring truth, beauty, goodness, and human dignity to the screen.

Have a compelling short film idea but need funding to make it happen? We’re looking for the next great filmmaker who desires to tell stories that implicitly or explicitly align with Catholic values and teachings.

Finalists will pitch their projects live before a distinguished panel of judges at the Napa Institute Arts Festival in Napa Valley. The winning project will receive up to $100,000 in production funding, the opportunity to premiere at the 2027 Arts Festival, and potential distribution through EWTN.

Whether you’re a film student, recent graduate, or an aspiring filmmaker with a camera and a dream, this is your opportunity to be part of a new renaissance in storytelling.

Applications are now open. The first 100 pitch videos are guaranteed review.

Terms and conditions apply.
