A day planned at the horse races to celebrate my dad instead turned into an evening being poked and tested at the ER.

I’m sharing the real and raw here as I’ve always received the questions about how I do it all while dealing with all the health things. I don’t want to just pop back up here making it look easy. I want to show you the journey along the way because I know there are so many other women in my exact shoes and I will do whatever it takes to remind you that you’re not alone and that you’re a rockstar.

From 2 weekends back to back of high fevers up to 104 I knew something was wrong. Friday evening I started experiencing numbness and tingling which I immediately knew was a symptom of my multiple sclerosis. Saturday morning I began to loose my balance when walking. In addition to all of this I’ve had a cough ever since gardening in extreme heat last weekend (oops).

When my neurology PA recommenced heading to the ER to see about IV steroids I wasted no time. It was a no brainer to cancel everything and prioritize my health.

I cannot thank texashealth enough for always prioritizing me, my health and testing beyond lengths of your traditional care.

Follow up to come, but I am alright and hydrated thanks to my IV and the best support system 🥹
