Michigan turned Mateer into a helicopter 😭

John Mateer and Oklahoma’s offense just hit a real wall in Ann Arbor, and it showed up in every part of the box score. He finished just 17 of 33 passing for 189 yards, one touchdown, and an interception in the 17-10 loss to Michigan, a rough follow-up after dropping 51 points the week before against UTEP.

He was honest about it afterward too, admitting his eyes weren’t right in the pocket and that he missed throws he normally makes. With a reported $3 million NIL package attached to his name, performances like this are going to draw scrutiny no matter how talented the rest of the roster is.

Was this a one-game slip for Mateer or a real concern going forward for Oklahoma?
