## Caption

🏚️ Cerro Gordo is a 19thcentury silver mining town in the Inyo Mountains of California that sat abandoned for decades. Brent Underwood bought it in 2018 for $1.4 million and has been restoring it ever since. The property includes over 20 structures, a hotel, a mine shaft, and buildings still packed with belongings left behind by the last residents. He now lives there alone most of the year. #abandoned #history
